This work I performed during my field research in São Paulo-BR. A very slow crossing at Sta. Ifigênia bridge, São Paulo-BR, tackling the question "How can I pay the 'white debts' as a white person in this Western society?"
I prioritised to cause a sensitive intervention instead of an extreme one. I spent more than one hour crossing a 225 meters bridge in its length. I was there to dwell on the "fissures" that echo in that environment. I was there to be perceived by a sensitive eye and generate more sensitivity in such a violent area at the heart of São Paulo. That experience made me realise the importance of sensitivity and otherness. As an artist I want to disseminate the importance of radical sensitivity in order to engage with the practice of othering.
